Thoughtful Thursday - price vs. value

"Maybe the reason it seems that price is all your customers care about ...
... is that you haven't given them anything else to care about."

Pricing is such a tricky and personal thing. You want to be competitive, and, honestly, I don't want to overcharge. I know how much time and money I have in everything I make, and I don't want to inflate the price so much that it's ridiculous. However, I also believe that people correlate price with quality. It's one of the hardest parts of having a business.

Agreed. And factoring in the time spent doing the things you would not be doing if you did not have this business is also tricky. Hubby is always telling me to raise prices- I always say, but I can solder blank amount in blank amount of time and he says- right, BECAUSE you've soldered thousands AND that expertise and perfection is what you should be charging for-it's very tricky MAB!
